How to begin polo

Anybody, who has any interest playing horse polo need to have basic horsmanship knowledge. Rent a pony first and play „stick and ball”: practice riding and hitting with the help and advices of an experienced player. Soon you can play in a slow practice chukker, all the others will help you to learn the rules and elements of safe play which is the main consideration in play.

When you decide to purchase your first own pony, you are probably lost in eternal love for polo. Buy older, experieneced horses first- they will „teach” you so much. As your knowledge increase, you will need faster ponies. A complete player need to have at least four horses: a good string.
